The service was amazing! If you go, go at sunset! Absolutely beautiful!! I recommend getting their filet mignon with the rice pilaf! The south beach cosmo martini was so delicious!

Fresh catch of the day served here! i was very happy to be on a "see food" diet while in Hawaii. The sunset view was spectacular, the restaurant was quite spacious and can easily accommodate large groups. We had Marlin and wine for dinner and Ahi Tuna Stack with a Mai Tai. Overall the weather was comfortable, at times a little breezy. After a day of sightseeing and shopping, all this activity increased our appetite. I am not complaining!! We saw the Kona Inn restaurant in the distance, but didn't have reservations. They were able to accommodate us after a brief wait. It was a pleasure to dine at here. The lobby was nicely decorated and has comfortable seating while waiting for you table. Make reservations to minimize your wait and don't don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!

Needed a lite lunch, ststopped in and got poke and cocoa appetizers. Perfect choices! The poked is served on ice, marinated in a soy place with chopped onion. Omg! Amazing. Nothing like fresh Ahi! The jumbo coconut shrimp were also outstanding. Huge flavorful and sooo good! If you're in Kona come here! So good!

I have not eaten at this restaurant but just look at this VIEW! People come in and sit at the concrete wall right at the ocean to view the sunset. Absolutely gorgeous.

When you walk in the view of the ocean is breathtaking. Great place to sit and enjoy Aloha life. Julian is our server, he was super sweet and made you feel welcomed. Ordered the calamari sandwich 10/10 and had the chicken sandwich, great taste. I absolutely would recommend this place when in Kona.

Stopped by during our Hawaii trip becuase we heard this was the place for a mai tai! We made it with just a few minutes of happy hour to spare. We ordered some Mai Tais, chips and guacamole and some fish tacos. The server even held another drink for us at happy hour price! The drinks were strong and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. Would love to come back and enjoy a meal here next time I'm on the island !

I have eaten here twice and both times I was welcomed with aloha and exceptional service (once at a table and the other time at the bar). The food is fresh and made to order. I highly recommend the Ono (wahoo) meal and you can't leave without having the famous Kona Inn Mud Pie. The flavor of the mud pie is not super strong coffee, so my husband, who hates coffee, is always able to enjoy. Such a great dessert item to share! PROS: * great menu * friendly service * happy hour from 2-5pm with food and drink specials! * epic ocean/sunset views * tables in the shade * well maintained bar/wood finishings/details CONS: * parking can be tricky, just plan ahead and be prepared to walk. Really convenient if you are staying at a nearby hotel so you can just walk * open air/no a/c, so can get really hot

Okay, enough is enough ................ not really, so check out my sunset pics from this place. We came back here a few times. It wasn't just for the views, but the relaxed vibe without feeling that we were neglected (I could tell by the amount of Mai Tai's we had there). The staff was accommodating and pleasant. This restaurant has a cultural history without being pretentious. We shared the Seafood Cobb Salad, see my pic. It had the usual Cobb salad ingredients but the proteins were shrimp and scallops - you can see for yourself the quantity and size. These were all okay. We also had the Mahi-Mahi Fish & Chips, see my pic. I liked the tempura-light style breading. The fish was tender and there was a sufficient amount. The Cole slaw was good, but a bit heavy on the dressing. The fries were average. We enjoyed their Hula Chicken, see my pic. As advertised, it was a large chicken breast that has been marinated and broiled. This is topped with their Island Tropical Salsa. This was basically a teriyaki chicken which was cooked okay. The extra sauce helped a lot. The fruit salsa added a nice kick of freshness and a bit of sweetness to the chicken breast.
